Greg is a graduate of Cortiva Institute of Massage Therapy of Cromwell. He is First Aid/CPR Certified and COVID-19 Guidelines Certified.
Greg’s style, while influenced by a wide range of modalities ( Myofascial, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point and Swedish ), is categorized by a hybrid of Orthopedic work and movement, both tied together with a Swedish flow which allows the client to dial into their body and relax into specific, deeper work. Overall, Greg possess the education and range to cater sessions to a variety of client goals beyond his preferred style.
Massage Therapy was always something Greg possessed an affinity for but did not always embrace. After obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree, he realized something was still missing. Shortly after exacerbating a low back injury through improper weight training and a lack of self-care, he went on to work with a phenomenal massage therapist who changed his outlook on wellness and self-care and reacquainted him with the idea of massage as a career.
“I discovered how beneficial massage therapy could be as part of a holistic regimen, specifically its ability to bring about a greater sense of body awareness. The experience I had with a LMT focusing on specific Orthopedic work sparked my journey of self-care of which I was lacking. I realized not every pain or restriction in my body required an immediate “fix” by invasive methods or medications. I realized I had greater control over my body than I had thought was possible. To me, massage is about facilitating healing and client empowerment – it’s a partnership. That’s what makes this work so unique and potentially groundbreaking. When it comes to treating pain from injury or pathology many people feel alone or helpless and they approach massage as a last resort; I’d like that to change. There are so many people who can benefit, especially now considering our stress and lack of human touch. And there are so many transformative modalities in this industry. We need manual therapy now more than ever and I am so honored to call massage my passion AND my profession.”
Greg plans to take continuing education in Orthopedic Massage, Oncology Massage, and Hydrotherapy modalities including stone or bamboo. He also plans to become re-certified in personal training to bring additional benefit to his clients.
" I was referred by my Physical Therapist to relieve muscle tension and low back pain. It's been great for my arthritis and muscle spasms. Really helps keep my muscles loose. I love the caring and professional demeanor of the therapists here. This is truly therapeutic massage and addresses all of my healthcare concerns. " MR, Cromwell, CT
